APD Waiver Provider

Empowering Individuals with Developmental Disabilities to Live Independently
Helping Hands Superior Care LLC is proud to be an approved provider under Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) Medicaid Waiver Program. This waiver supports individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them receive the care they need while maintaining independence and dignity in their own homes or communities.
Our goal is to deliver compassionate, consistent, and empowering services tailored to each person’s unique needs and life goals.
WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING APD WAIVER SERVICES:

Companion Services – Supervision and support in non-medical daily activities like going on walks, attending events, or simply spending quality time together.

Personal Support – Assistance with tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal prep, and mobility.

Respite Care – Temporary relief for primary caregivers so they can rest, recharge, or attend to personal matters knowing their loved one is in good hands.

Homemaker Services – Light housekeeping, laundry, and household upkeep to support a safe, clean living environment.

Transportation (Non-Medical) – Safe travel to community events, work programs, or social activities to promote independence and social inclusion.
I Budget Provider
In order to be eligible for services from the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (“APD”), an individual must have a developmental disability which occurs prior to age 18 and constitutes a substantial handicap that can reasonably be expected to continue indefinitely. Disabilities served by APD include:
• Intellectual disabilities (Full Scale IQ of 70 or below)
• Severe forms of autism
• Spina bifida cystica or myelomeningocele
• Cerebral palsy
• Prader-Willi syndrome
• Down syndrome
• Phelan-McDermid syndrome or
• Individuals between the ages of 3-5 at high risk for a developmental disability

We work with children and adults who are eligible for the iBudget Waiver under the APD program. We also collaborate closely with support coordinators, family members, and guardians to ensure care plans are followed and goals are met.
